Is your instructor qualified? What to look for in a training provider
LGV | HGV driving schools do not legally have to have any formal qualifications in teaching, in fact your trainer only needs to hold that category of licence for 3 years to teach you. Many LGV driving schools are even owned and run by people that are not even driving instructors themselves.
Brokers: Brokers look just like any other driving school but usually offer training nationally and are normally found at the sponsored listings at the top of the web page. Most don’t even have a training vehicle. A broker is just a middle man who takes your booking for a cost then passes your booking to a real training provider at lower cost leaving them their profit.
So, ask yourself “are you getting the best chance and value for your money?”
· Call a few training providers and compare your experience. Are you getting just a sales pitch?

· Consider recommendations.
· Be sure on the total hours training you will receive.
