We provide LGV C1+E (medium goods vehicle and trailer) driver training courses to enable individuals to tow a trailer with a goods vehicle between 3500kg and up to 7500kg.
The LGV C1+E licence is for drivers who hold the C1 licence and are 21 or over who passed their car driving test after January 1st 1997.
And for drivers who already hold the C1+E licence on grandfather rights. (pre 1st Jan 1997) with the 8250kg train weight restriction, requiring the restriction to be lifted to 12000kg.
Our C1+E training vehicles are VW Crafters and Ifor williams box van trailers which has the advantage of being small and manoeuvrable, with simple controls and gears, whilst meeting all DVSA requirements to gain the LGV C1+E licence.
Your experienced driving instructor will cover all that is required on your training, to pass the DVSA LGV C1 driving test.

LGV C1+E driver training courses are between 12 and 24 hours duration depending upon your driving experience and ability to fully prepare you for the DSA LGV C1+E driving test standard. Typically this can be done between in 2 and 4 days in duration.
There is not a fixed amount of time for a course as everyones requirements are different, but here is a guide for you.
12 Hour training course.
For those who have regular towing experience and reversing.
16 Hour training course.
Ideal for those who have some towing experience and reversing.
20 Hour training course.
Ideal for those who may not have towed before, but are confident and competent drivers in general.
24 Hour training course.
Ideal for those who have never towed before, and need some time get their general driving standard to the high DVSA test standards.
Typical amount of training required between 2 and 4 days.
We will be able to help you with every thing that is required to pass your LGV C1 driving test. From the initial phone call, supplying a modern VW Crafter vehicle which meets all the DVSA test requirements, to arranging your course and training to suit you and obtaining your driving test. Your instructor will take to the DVSA test centre and the return you back to the training centre.
